Updating scripts used in remote monitors

Postby bneste.startech-comp » Fri Mar 18, 2016 3:35 pm

Greetings all! Pretty sure I know the answer to this based on what I'm seeing happen but thought I'd ask anyway. Is there any logic built into the LT agent where it looks to see if the local script copied down from the LT server for a remote monitor is older than the version in the LTShare?

Example - we have a batch script that is called by a remote monitor for pulling details about HP RAID controllers and alerting based on the results. I need to make a change to that script but my assumption is that all the agent cares about is whether or not the script is found in the LTSVC folder and it doesn't look at the date of the file to determine if a newer version exists. Is this correct? If so, how do most of you get updated scripts downloaded? Simplest solution I could think of is to simply delete the script agent side (through an LT script) so it has to download it again.

Thanks!
Brent
