Blacklist software for specific client

Postby nate.ewt » Thu Jun 30, 2016 11:35 am

I read through the post that was from 2011 regarding this issue.

Here's my scenario. As many of you probably already know, the government has advised Windows users to no longer use Quicktime since Apple is no longer offering updates to the Windows version (https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA16-105A).

One of our clients has requested that all of his 100+ computers have Quicktime removed. None of our other clients has requested this removal.

I want to be able to tell this client site to remove all Quicktime installations from the computers.

Any suggestions?

We just uninstall it on all PCs.

For your purposes I'd create a group, using an autojoin search that looks for that program to be installed (and that client name), and schedule a script to run say Monday and Thursday that uninstalls it.
