Health Report modifications for Patch Health Stats

Postby jonathan.ward.epicor » Thu Mar 09, 2017 3:26 pm

Hi all,

(Using version 10.5)

I would like to modify the way that a Full Health Report understands patches, we have clients who do not want to know about things such as Driver Updates or Feature Packs and so want them excluded from the calculations that drive the Health Reports they receive monthly.

I have successfully applied filters to a Patch Review report as that has a very obvious filter field "hotfixdata:CategoryName" so can do at design stage. However when looking at the Health Reports they do not have fields like this, as they do not provide detailed patch info, just a quick summary percentage of health...

Can anyone suggest an easier way to manipulate the Health Reports so that the Patch Health is accurately reflected by what the client conisders important, i.e. critical and security updates.

Thanks in advance

If those patches are marked Ignore are they still listed as missing on the report?

I don't even know! :) We have not tried the patch-manager-du-jour for years. We just use groups, so in our Windows Updates.Approved group we right click it and set to Ignored rather than Install.
