We switched from LabTech to Logicnow, our Implementation with LabTech wasn't the greatest to say the least and we had to figure out a lot ourselves. We are also integrated with ConnectWise PSA.
Before our clients got a nice weekly report informing them of the health of their servers. And most backup solutions were there to make sure that we could monitor and sent a nice report out to the client.
This seems to be lacking from LT if we don't use Arcserve, Backup Exec or Storagecraft.
For now this has been my workaround:
- monitor veaam with a seperate internal monitor
- monitor windows backup with blacklisted events
- capture emails from our ahsay and barracuda appliances and create tickets if they are missed or failed.
It would be a lot nicer to get this monitoring all down into LabTech but also get reports that clients can understand. There seems no solution for this now? Could somebody like point me in the right direction to create seperate monitors and report objects for windows backup? Is their any way to parse emails from backup solutions in LT and then create correct reports and alerts?
