Scheduled reboot

Postby tsc » Fri Nov 05, 2010 4:55 pm

Is there a script to schedule a reboot of a machine?
I'm looking to reboot a few servers during non-business hours (i.e. midnight) and wanted to setup a script so that it reboots on a specified time. (just like what Zenith had)

any ideas?
thanks in advance.

You can just make a new script using the command action 'Reboot Computer' as a step and schedule it as needed. If it is something you would like to track, you can have the script open and close a ticket.

If the machines are all in the same group you could schedule the reboot at the group level. Double click the group and go to the Scripts tab and select Scheduled Commands\REBOOT. You can also limit the reboot in that same area.

Double click on the machine you want when the machine's control center opens click on Begin in the lower left. Go to scripts then go to Scheduled Commands and select REBOOT. A window will pop up and then just schedule the time you want it to reboot.

Hi - I have no choices under Scheduled Commands so I can't choose REBOOT. How do I get that in there?
