Monitor Computer Age

Postby Guest » Wed Apr 20, 2011 7:41 am

Is it possible to create an internal monitor that looks for computers with an asset date older than 4 years?

I see I can look at the computer table, and the field assetdate - but how do I trigger if the date is older than 4 years from todays date?

Thank you!

For the Check Condition pick "LessThan" and for the Result use: DATE_ADD(NOW(),INTERVAL -4 YEAR)

But AssetDate broke at some point. Now it usually has the date of the agent install instead of the original OS install date. I've opened a ticket with LT and they say talk to consulting.

It's very difficult to get computer age from LT now. I've done a complicated query to do some of that, but it's not 100%.

I opened a ticket w/ support in the last month or so, they say the OS Start Date field, which currently returns the LT install date instead, will be fixed in the next release. We shall see...

We use a product called UpdateWarranty. ... erver/home

It can update the purchase date/warranty date on most PC's and stores it in an EDF
