Pull Event Logs from the Database

Postby bkearan.thinkanew » Thu Jul 17, 2014 4:26 pm

Labtech stores Event Logs from the endpoints to the Database. But where?

Has anyone written a SQL query to pull Event Logs from the database and store them for archive or backup?

I would imagine the whole event log is on one field? Or is that just hoping? :)

I want to write a program to query the database and pull event logs and store them in a folder array based on client/computer/logtype/date.log arrangement...

Just a pointer to where the log files are in the database would be great.

The current ones are stored in a table "eventlogs" with the history/old data in h_eventlogs.

The Dashboard has a setting under Config/System for how long to retain older data. Note that with about 600 PCs and set to 31 days retention our event logs data was about 11 GB as I recall so don't pick too large a number.

Historical data is under the History button while viewing a PC.
