Disk - C: Drive Space Critical

Postby kwoods.firstcolumn » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:21 am

There is a monitor on each computer named "Disk - C: Drive Space Critical" that runs a WMI Query every 300 seconds. However, it creates a few false positives each day. When we check on the computer, it has plenty of free space. Is there something we are missing, or is there a way to make it more accurate? Also, is there a way to change the parameters for all of the Monitors at once?

Thanks,
Kurt

Open your 'Agent Monitor Creation - Disk' and check line #4. Is that enough for you to make the change you want?

I get the same thing, only on a few of the workstations - not all. Line 4 just shows "1GB" as being the threshold unless I'm missing something. Some of these workstations have 500GB+ of free space on the drive that is being reported as being under 1GB of free space. I don't think changing that number is going to affect the script making false-positive reports. Any help you can send our way would be much appreciated.

We are having the same issue. We are getting this alert on drives that have hundreds of GB of free space...hoping someone has an answer soon!

There was some discussion about this on reddit > https://www.reddit.com/r/labtech/commen ... _critical/
Between that and the Slack crew, most folks advise building our own monitors.
