I agree with James. I have posted in the same thing in the new features forum as well as submitting to support. It has caused us so much headache.

Has there been any change in this in the new version on LT?

Does anyone know how LabTech "hides" the Network Drive?

I was thinking they used the reg key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies \Explorer\NODRIVES

But looking at my clients, that I have already set up cacheing, this is not the case.

Thank You,
Timothy

We just had an issue with the hidden drive. Even when Labtech was uninstalled, the drive letter was still hidden.

We searched the registry for 'nodrives' and found it lived under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE with the same path.

Hope that helps someone with this 'backward' setup.

Oh for crying in a bucket: 5 years later this is still an issue!!
In Default Template > Folders and Cache tab > Cache Directory, set value to %drive%|B:
In Location > General tab > Script and Template Variables area > Drive field, set value to \\SERVER\software\LTCache
In Agent within Location > Effective Policy tab > Templates section > Cache Directory entry, check value: itis \\SERVER\software\LTCache|B:

In Agent > CMD Prompt tab >"Net use" > get response X:\ is mapped to \\SERVER\software - wtf!!!

aaaahhhh!!! all because Drive was \\SERVER\software\ltcache. Made a new share of same folder, changed Drive to \\SERVER\LTcache and bingo! all sorted, Agent > CMD Prompt tab > "Net use" > get response B: mapped to \\SERVER\LTCache
